I may seem strong,
But look beneath this facade,
And you will see the real me.
*
I carry all my years,
I’ve hidden all my tears,
And I will tell you if you want to hear.
*
Even after all this time,
I forgive all the pain,
And I gave up all my fears.
*
These wings on my back,
hide the scars of my life,
And give me protection for my life to come.
