Love You

Life is for learning,
Overstepping the mark,
Venturing with our hearts,
Even when it hurts us,
***
Yesterdays are for memories,
Ours I will never forget,
Until we meet again my dear friend.

Here’s To Old News

Here’s to what you taught me,
Here’s to what we had,
Here’s to what we could have been,
Here’s to our past,
Here’s to what you’ve lost,
Here’s to what didn’t last,
Here’s to old news,
Here’s to being over you at last.

Be Mine

Before I say good night,
Each night I want to kiss you,
***
Maybe this year you’ll say yes,
Imagine if you were mine,
No matter how bleak my day seems,
Everything brightens up with you.

I let you go

The pain of what I lost,
Ate me up from the inside,
Missing the sweet kiss,
Of your loving lips,
***
But that’s all gone,
I let you go,
You took my heart,
And now I’m cold,
***
I have never felt this way before,
The pain of losing,
With the thought of winning,
Now you are not here anymore.
***
I let you go,
I don’t want you back,
You stole my heart,
And I’ll never forgive you for that,
***
You are in my past,
And I wish I had made you last,
But life’s a game made for everyone,
And love is the prize,
***
I let you go,
So why did you come back,
Why couldn’t I say no,
And just let you go?
***
I let you go,
So why can’t you just stay in my past,
I wish I couldn’t feel,
Because all I want is your love.

Broken Hearted

Floods of tears roll down this face,
They hide no glory or no grace,
What lies below is usually sealed,
But you hold the key to that special place,
***
And now my heart lies bare and bleeding,
And the wound lies open,
For you used the key and then stole it from me.
And now my heart is broken.

Wants and Desires

All I really want,
Is that moment with you,
That lifetime of memories,
Lived and loved out with you.
***
All I really desire,
Is the feel of your embrace,
The kiss in the morning,
And the hug before bed,
***
All I really wish,
Is for you to be with me,
Love me and hold me,
And never leave me.

My Dreams Are All About You

I know you will never be mine,
And no words I say will change that,
But at night you play on my mind,
And it hurts that I am betrayed by my heart.
***
So now at night I dream of you,
And wish my dreams would just come true,
For I would dream forever more,
If it meant just being with you.
***
So tonight I’ll kiss you in my dreams,
And tomorrow hope to see you,
For you make my heart skip a beat,
As my dreams are all about you.

Here’s To What We Had

Here’s to the times together,
The nights I’ll never forget,
And the hours, I think well spent,
***
Here’s to the memories,
The hugs and the cuddles,
All will be sadly missed,
***
Here’s to the hours I cried,
The nights after we said our goodbyes,
And the tubs of ice cream that drowned the pain.
***
But mostly here’s to the lessons I learned,
Of love and pain,
And to being saved from what could have been.

Here’s To The Good And The Bad

Here’s to the days, weeks and months,
To the times we’ve laughed, cried and smiled,
For everything we shared together,
Here’s to the future we will have,
Apart but together forever.
***
So, here’s to the good,
And the bad,
But at least it’s something we had.

To the Future

The heart if a fragile thing,
And choosing someone is not trivial,
So spend your days looking,
And don’t relent the search,
You will find some amazing people,
You will also find the jerks,
But keep in mind the future,
Where you will be with your dual-flame,
And smile at your past,
Because you will never be there again,
Take all the hurt,
And all the pain,
And just remember,
Tomorrow you can try again.

Let Him Go

I should let him go rejoin the flock,
As a caged bird is never happy,
And something with such beauty,
Should never be caged.
*
So I say this last farewell,
and open the door,
To let him go,
But I still stand in the way.
*
For the fear of the pain,
Prevents me letting go,
“It will only hurt for a while,”
Or so I am told.

My Wings

I may seem strong,
But look beneath this facade,
And you will see the real me.
*
I carry all my years,
I’ve hidden all my tears,
And I will tell you if you want to hear.
*
Even after all this time,
I forgive all the pain,
And I gave up all my fears.
*
These wings on my back,
hide the scars of my life,
And give me protection for my life to come.

Love Poems as a word cloud.

To Someone I Love

[REDACTED] [REDACTED] I don’t know what else to do,
Recently I learned something new,
I learned you make my morning sky blue,
I learned you make my heart feel new,
With every moment I spend with you,
[REDACTED] [REDACTED], I love you.

Be My Angel

You make me believe,
For only god could make,
Someone like you.
*
By all accounts,
And all descriptions,
You are in fact an angel.
*
In the guise of a human,
You come next to me,
Always the brightest sun beam.
*
This day cannot be a mistake,
I keep trying to impress him,
In the hopes I will one day be with him.
*
Even if you are only an angel to me,
Please stay with me,
And be my angel.

Heart I Need My Angel

Heart I need my angel,
This condition called love is proving fatal,
I have never known something so powerful,
And yet so painful,
But so beautiful,
And ever so wishful,
By now I must look so pitiful,
I know I have to be careful,
I know it’s that simple,
When I find you i will be careful,
But for now I must keep searching for my angel.

Hard to Let go of a Dream

It’s hard to let go of a dream,
Especially when its about you.
But I can’t hold on to this,
When there is only what if.
I need to move on and so do you.
May our paths cross again,
In time to come let us hope.
But for now our paths are done,
And must split off.

Love Poems as a word cloud.

Your Smile

Your smile,
It brings me joy,
Even if I don’t cause it.
*
I can’t say I’m not bitter,
Because you’re not mine,
But I will be happy,
As long as you are.
*
You know where I am,
If you ever need me,
Morning or evening,
Night or afternoon.

Just give me a hug,
Say it’ll be alright,
And stay with me through the night.

If Only You Knew

I have been doing this for a year,
Writing each tear,
Letting you know each fear,
Hoping you will see,
What you mean to me.
***
Rhyming each dream,
With a thought about you,
Wishing you’d see,
That I love you,
***
Setting the beat of my poems,
To the beat of my heart,
But still you are blind,
Or you choose not to see,
How much you really mean to me.
***
I don’t think you know,
How I really feel,
So if only you knew,
Every poem,
Every line,
Every word,
Every rhyme,
I wrote it all for you.

To The Edge of the Known

I see you,
And I am taken,
To the edge of,
Of the known.
*
I am almost,
Where I have,
Wanted to be,
For so long.
*
I want to,
Hear about,
Your life,
Like my favourite song.
*
And then at the end,
Of the night,
I just want,
To take you home.

Where Have you Been

Where have you been,
Where has the time gone,
And where are we going.
*
Lets not ask questions,
And just go along,
For the ride of our lives.
*
I know I shouldn’t ask,
But I don’t know where we’re going,
And I don’t want you to be gone.

I give you this,
My heart,
My health,

My hate,
So let us sign this,

A Story to Tell

Everything I own,
Has it’s story to tell,
Every story,
Has a lifetime to it,
There is a spot for you,
In all these stories,
If you just say yes.

I Hate Fish

“There are plenty,
More fish in the sea,”
but I hate fish,
And so I hope,
You also love me.
*
Don’t make me,
Go fishing,
To find another,
Person like you,
In the big blue,
*
If you say no,
Please know,
I won’t look again,
At least not for some time,
And definitely not fishing the sea.

I See You

I saw you in town,
Across the street,
Walking, obviously,
You don’t see me.
*
Like a ghost,
In your life,
I walk in your shadow,
And you don’t even know.
*
What I would give,
To be visible to you,
For you to notice me,
And walk for a minute with me.
