Silence in a Goodbye

The whispers of goodbye,
Bring a tear to my eye,
With passing days,
And passing tides,
We watch life pass us bye,
The silence in a goodbye,
Has the pain to keep you up at night,
And the pain to put you out of the fight,
But still when you know it’s right,
A goodbye is just a goodbye.
