A Better Place – Poem By The Pesky Poetry

When someone close is lost,
The line is inevitable said,
That although they are gone,
They are in a better place.
***
How can it be a better place,
When a better place would be here?
Better is a matter of opinion,
And better for me would be you.
***
Days go by and I still cry,
Wishing I could visit you,
In that place that is better,
So we can just chat like we used to.
***
But life doesn't work like that,
They move on and leave us,
And we convince ourselves,
They have taken a better path.
