The pain of what I lost,
Ate me up from the inside,
Missing the sweet kiss,
Of your loving lips,
***
But that’s all gone,
I let you go,
You took my heart,
And now I’m cold,
***
I have never felt this way before,
The pain of losing,
With the thought of winning,
Now you are not here anymore.
***
I let you go,
I don’t want you back,
You stole my heart,
And I’ll never forgive you for that,
***
You are in my past,
And I wish I had made you last,
But life’s a game made for everyone,
And love is the prize,
***
I let you go,
So why did you come back,
Why couldn’t I say no,
And just let you go?
***
I let you go,
So why can’t you just stay in my past,
I wish I couldn’t feel,
Because all I want is your love.
