An empty chair means more than they know,
The space you've been, you are no more,
But unlike the chair, you are still there,
In my heart you remain, as part of life's beat.
***
All the deleted Facebook pictures mean nothing,
Because while you don't exist in my online,
You are still there racing around my mind,
Speaking words that were all lies.
***
That one voicemail I couldn't delete,
Lost due to a stolen phone,
Yet your voice haunts me inside,
You still pulse through my veins at night.
***
What drug can I take, or spell can I say,
That will remove you from my day-to-day,
That will stop that smell from reminding me,
You were mine before the mistakes.
***
All that's left, an empty chair,
Whispers circling my mind,
Lies still coursing through my veins,
All tied together with a simple goodbye,
Never spoken when you broke my heart.
