Promise to a Father

One day I’ll be famous,
One day I’ll be big,
People will know my name,
And no-one will ask “who dis”.
Just watch this space dad,
From your seat up there,
With the greats from before,
Knowing what’s in store.
Just know this promise,
My time is coming,
Of that I’m sure,
I can feel it is true.
With you cheering,
From a distance,
Nothing can,
hold me back.
