She sits there in the corner,
Conversing with herself,
And those from history,
All gathered around her.
***
Her mind slips away,
While her body,
Is left to stay put,
The only anchor here.
***
The cruel nature of time,
Giving one last look,
Before stealing her mind,
Memory by memory.
***
We are left to do nothing,
But watch the march,
To a time she lets go,
When she can be with those,
Already lost to time.
