Christmas Countdown Poem 2021: 3. Decorate the Tree

Go grab the box,
Blow the dust off the top,
Time to get the tree out of the loft.
***
Now find the trinkets,
All the bits and bobbles,
And the fairy or star for the top.
***
Uncoil the tinsel,
Place it on the tree,
Haphazard of very planned.
***
Untangle the lights,
Give them a quick test,
And make sure they are all right.
***
Find that one,
The random decoration,
You built at school many a moon ago.
***
Take a step back,
Marvel at the decoration,
Start counting down until it goes back.
