Wands of Want – Poem by the Pesky Poet

Hocus-pocus I cast my spell,
Knowing no matter what,
Magical words I say,
Nothing will change,
And the world will keep spinning.
***
Alakazam I command my wants,
As if they are mine to command,
Out to the universe,
Just for the hope,
That what I want will be mine.
***
Voilà I wave my hands,
Change my life's plan,
Chose my direction,
It's not set in stone,
I am who I want to be.
