Little Fella

Little Fella

This little fella,
Landed on me,
Made me happy,
For me to see,
Reminded me,
Of nature’s love,
Even if,
It’s just a bug.
***
This little fella,
Sat in my hand,
Made me think,
About the land,
Showed me life,
In the city,
With his seven,
Spotted coat.
***
This little fella,
As returned home,
To live among,
The under growth,
To feast upon,
The aphid armies,
And another,
Person happy.

Winds Of Change

The air has turned cold,
The nights are darker,
The fall of the leaves,
Is almost over.
***
People grow tired,
The world grows weary,
Some people think winter,
And just go teary.
***
The lonely find Christmas,
Too much to bare,
And sometimes it seems,
People just don’t care.
***
Find someone who needs,
Someone who could use you,
Stretch out a hand,
And let them know they’re not alone.
***
Winter happens to us all,
It makes us cold,
And makes us scowl,
Some worse than others.
***
So this is my plea,
My Christmas wish,
Find someone who needs you,
And give them a hug and a kiss.

Nature

Do you feel it,
Can you sense it,
Will you know it,
Have you found it?
***
It surrounds you,
Yet we ignore it,
We are blind,
And don’t notice.
***
Nature is there,
You just need to smell it,
Taste it, hear it,
Feel it.
