You Stole My Heart – A Poem by the Pesky Poet

You never knew,
And you could never know,
The impact you had on me.
***
A shy almost man,
Unsure of his place,
Calmed by your presence.
***
What you stole,
Is completely unrecoverable,
And absolutely unintentional.
***
My thoughts,
Were completely of you,
And the guy I knew.
***
Life wouldn't be,
As fulfilling and happy,
If not for your loving company.
***
While it hurts,
We cannot be together,
I don't want my heart back.
***
Just know this,
You stole the heart,
Right out of my chest.
