As I close my eyes tonight,
And am whisked off to a world only I know,
Where the sky is never grey,
And the sand on my feet is warm.
***
Where those who have passed still meet,
And where we can still speak,
The place only in my mind,
But as real as the rest of the world.
***
An alternative life to live,
A gift my brain will give,
Full of amazing journeys,
That will only be known by me.
***
It’s my own little paradise,
Hidden in a jungle of thoughts,
A place no-one else can visit,
But everyone else can exist.
