Ode to Achmelvich Bay

In the Southern-land,
But right to the north,
On the coast of Scotland,
There is a peaceful spot.
***
A land that I dream of,
North-west of inverness,
Standing on the shores,
Taking in a deep breath.
***
In the Southerland,
But right to the north,
On the cost of Scotland,
There my heart is home.
***
With sand like the Med,
And water blue as the Caribbean,
The place is very real,
I’ve been there and seen it.
***
The people are welcoming,
And there is wildlife abound,
From moors to heathland,
Grass to sand to sea.
