During the year,
We romanticise turkey,
Then comes the Christmas,
And we love it with trimmings,
But everyone forgets,
The days that follow,
Where people get creative,
With the left over meat thinnings.
***
Some try a curry,
Others try sandwiches,
There are those more creative,
That may be more adventurous,
But every year it is the same,
We finish Christmas dinner,
And don’t want to look,
At a turkey again!
