The ground turns hard,
The sky turns grey,
The world becomes cold,
As we near the end of the day.

The wind begins to howl,
The night begins to clear,
Giving way to the white,
Of Christmas Cheer.

The children are out playing,
On the temporary play turf,
Making the most of it,
Before it goes for another year.
