Ten days to go,
And by now you all know,
Christmas is coming close,
And so is the snow,
In comes the cold,
Out comes the coal,
As the cold takes its toll.

Thermoses are filled,
Drinks are no longer chilled,
And the garden no longer has a rose,
But we wait in delight,
For that one starry night,
With only ten days to go.
