At this time of year,
It is easy to forget,
Other religions exist,
Other than Christianity.
***
Today marks the beginning,
Of the Jewish celebration,
Of the rededication,
Of the Second Temple in Jerusalem.
***
Hanukkah is a special time,
For a large number of people,
A time of remembrance,
And the lighting of the Menorah.
***
In this multi cultural world,
It is worth learning other’s beliefs,
And from that vain let me say,
Hanukkah Sameach! from me.

Thank you for your lovely comment Cadence. I’d never profess to being a professor but aspire to becoming one. 😊

I have found that the world (or at least the bits I’m aware of) tends to get fixated on the Christian idea of Christmas rather than the many other amazing religions that exist.
