Life could have been so different,
We could have missed each other,
If God had granted my prayers.
***
But if God had given me the nod,
And granted me a different life,
You wouldn’t be with me tonight.
***
God could have granted me millions,
Or the love of my first crush,
But he didn’t let me rush.
***
He kept me waiting on my toes,
Knowing what was in store for us,
And now you are mine.
***
My prayers are not for riches anymore,
There for the right path to lead me,
To the next chapter of my life with you.
