I am the youngest I will ever be,
Yet the oldest I have ever seemed,
Stop the clock now,
And let time stand still.
For he is the reason,
Life is never dull,
But sometimes I need,
The clock to stop,
And time to leave me be.
But he marches on,
Tick by tock
And tock by tick,
Endlessly marching to the metronome.
So cherish the time,
Because tomorrow as with now,
You will be the youngest you ever were,
But the oldest you have ever been.
We both sit here,
You know I feel it too,
I see it in your eyes,
Words aren’t needed,
When looks will do,
Love is not just said,
It’s something shown,
And between us it’s known.
Here I sit in the dark,
Crying every night,
Looking for love,
No one can hear me,
I hurt on my own,
And all that I want,
Is someone to love.
There’s a whisper under my bed,
Right beneath where I lay my head,
It talks to me as I sleep,
And whispers things when I wake.
There’s a whisper silent and still,
Right now talking within my skull,
It gives me ideas to write,
And helps me share for you to read.
There’s a whisper inside of me,
Right where no one can see,
It speaks with my tongue,
And writes for me in my hand.
There’s a whisper on this page,
Right in these lines I’ve laid,
It speaks to you,
And was placed by me.
It’s become tradition,
To write a thank you to all my readers,
Without you I’d be writing for nothing.
Thank you for your Likes and Follows,
They are very appreciated,
And make this project worth while.
This year has been amazing,
More than 800 visitors, 1100 views, 170 likes,
All thanks to you.
So here’s to 2019,
A scary thought if you ask me,
For a 3 year project started in 2012.
Why do we do this every year,
We over do it on christmas cheer,
And manage to cook more bird than we need,
So you end up with sandwiches, curries and all things turkey,
Somehow you find ways,
You’ve never done before,
To use the meat of the oversized bird,
Without letting any go to waste.
