The Christmas card pile is smaller,
Each and every year,
With friends dropping off,
And new ones seldom appear.
***
Christmas morning is quieter,
Each and every year,
With the kids gone,
Santa doesn't visit here.
***
The Christmas Table is lonelier,
Each and every year,
With family off touring,
No one comes over.
***
Think of others this year,
Where is their Christmas Cheer,
A card or a visit won't go amiss,
Don't leave them lonely this year.
