This year has been cold,
And dark in parts,
The days have been long,
And the world has felt stuck.
***
Throughout this time we hope,
We think of lighter days,
When the world will be back,
And this will be in the past.
***
On this first Sunday of advent,
We light the candle of hope,
And invite the warmth within us,
For the future will be brighter.
