As this year draws to a close,
We remember stories of the old,
Laugh at jokes of the past,
And share mentions of hopes to come,
***
Mentions of Lions and Lambs,
And new years plans,
All with their new years resolutions.
***
So here she comes once again,
Showing we all move through time the same,
The clock comes close to that midnight chime,
Where we will all recognise the passage of time,
***
So tick tock goes the clock,
And time continues to move,
Tick tock goes the clock,
Now here’s to the new.
***
So until next year,
I bid you adieu.
