They felt the ground moving, From their hiding place under the tree. The thudding of steps, From the enemy. Then all of a sudden, With a shudder and a jolt. They were in the grasp, Of the enemies claws. Unceremoniously moved, To be alone. Before being unwrapped, With the contents on show. The great cleanup, Now begins. Where all the wrapping paper, Gets rammed in the bins. Thus signalling the end, Of the Christmas Tree massacre.
