New Year Countdown Poem 2021: 29. Too Soon

Would it be taboo,
Or considered too soon,
If I was thinking about Christmas 2022?
***
Given the bad year,
I've needed some cheer,
And what better way than thinking,
Of Christmas next year?
***
By then we will meet,
Without masks on our cheeks,
We will be able to sing along,
To Christmas Carols and Songs.
***
Let us forget this year,
And look forward to the next,
Which will be more like they were in the past.
