We hear the low drone,
And you know what is to come,
An out of tune and of beat rendition,
of a Christmas classic will be sung.
***
A 12 Days Of Christmas,
Or a Hark the Herold Angel Sing,
Whatever it is it always starts the same,
A low drone followed by the song.
***
You have to be a Grinch,
Not to enjoy hearing the bunch,
A group of people enjoying the chance,
To get out on the street and sing.
***
But when it finishes,
And you heart has been warmed,
After you have finished being wowed,
You are just glad it’s done.
