Christmas Countdown Poem 2024: 18. Elf on the Shelf Mishaps

What happened to that elf,
You never hear him anymore,
Gone is the pitter-patter,
Of feet on the floor.
***
Or the crash of pans,
As he makes a mess,
Or the flour footprints,
Across the kitchen counter.
***
He's once left ketchup,
All over the kitchen table,
And taken all the plates,
Out of the kitchen cupboards.
***
But this year there's silence,
He's not visited with his mischief,
We will miss him,
This Christmas.
