It starts with an opening key,
A hum or a whistle to set the scene,
Then comes the harmony,
All in one breath,
The chorus singing on the street.
***
If you feel life is too busy,
Just stand and listen a moment,
Take in the singing,
Feel the spirit,
Then wish them a Merry Christmas.
***

Before you go back to being busy,
Stand and wait,
For them to get ready,
And hear them start one door down.
