It's somewhat tradition, In the New Year Countdown, To lament the turkey, And it's unending presence. The whole year goes by, And not a moan for the bird, Then Christmas comes, And it's as if nobody has heard. The culinary specialists, Will make curry and soups, Maybe something more exotic, With spices and roots. After Christmas it must be, The most hated meat on the table, Yet all year round it's a meat staple, Earning the title, the favourite most hated meat.
