That perilous night, 2000 years ago, A mother and father to be, Went on the long road, Or so the story goes. *** Whether you follow, Or you chose not to, The story of hope, Is one we can all share, *** The hope of new birth, A hope for the future, The hope we all desire, A hope to hold on to, The hope we live with. *** So shed a thought, For the Mary and Joseph of today, On their own long journey, From home to away.
