There's a robin by my shoulder, He hums his little song, Of the Christmas to come, and the Christmases gone, He whistles of snowball fights, And sledding down the hills. *** He's seen them all over the years, The Christmases come and gone, Listened to laughter and cheers, From children now moved on, Seen the fairytale love stories, From couples with life to share. *** He's now off on his rounds again, To spread the Christmas cheer, Another Christmas ahead of him, Not sure what it will bring, The robin and his magic touch, Will certainly be there.
