In honour of Her Majesty The Queen the following poem was submitted to Buckingham Palace last year. Pesky Poetry understands from the response that Her Majesty enjoyed the poem and accepted it as a gift for her Platinum Jubilee. #HM70 #PlatinumJubilee.
God save our Queen,
May she continue to reign,
Over the country as sovereign.
As the rock that steadies,
And the calm that guides,
At the helm of this Great Britain.
From a position on high,
As a meter rule so true,
In her majesty let us rejoice.
Loved as a mother,
As a grandmother,
And to the country as a monarch.
God save our Queen,
Elizabeth the Second,
In whose name we stand United.
