Day number one,
Of the Christmas Countdown,
Another year draws to a close,
Celebrate the Advent with me,
While the winter wind blows.

Each day to Christmas,
Then on to new year,
A poem will be published,
Chronicling the journey there,

While Advent Sunday,
Falls on the first,
May this December be fun,
Right through to January.
