Memories Lost In Time

When a memory is sharp,
It cuts like a blade,
When a memory is new,
It feels like it will never leave,
Time passes as normal,
And the memory wains,
Time never stalls,
And the memory weakens,
Till the memory looses meaning,
And seems to stop stinging,
Before long people forget,
And loose the reasons.

Open That Tin Heart

Over the years,
I thought I’d found love,
But it hadn’t been true.
Then along came,
Someone completely different,
And that was you.
Never did I consider,
You could be for me,
And save me from becoming bitter.
Now five years on,
I don’t look back,
On time that’s gone.
My heart became tin,
With the hurt of time,
And you opened it for me.

Grow My Readers

This is a time limited post,
More a plea to all my readers,
I’m trying to grow my reader base,
in the vain attempt to make my dreams closer to reality,
I know I’m no God’s gift to poetry,
Please feel free to say no to me,
But could you find it in your heart,
Would you mind sharing my site,
With your readers, friends and families?
Ask them to follow,
And read through my poems.
I’ll happily do the same in return,
Thank you for your continued reading.

Cherry Blossom

The trees are heavy,
Blowing in the wind,
The ground changes,
A shade of pink.
***
The trees shed their spring coat,
And leave sprinkle their colour,
Over the paths and the roads,
Signalling the middle of spring.
***
Look around now,
And cherish the sight,
All the wonder,
Of Cherry Blossom.

Little Laidback Ladybug

Sat on a rock,
At the height of the day,
Is a little spotty friend,
Whiling the time away,
Just waiting for aphids,
To chew upon,
It rests and waits,
For dinner to come,
It’s alliteral little laidback ladybug.

Bumbling Bumble Bee

Spring is here,
The air is warm,
And comes along,
The Bumbling Bumble Bee.
***
As flower open,
Gardens bloom,
Comes to play,
The Bumbling Bumble Bee.
***
It’s known hum,
And happy sway,
As it flies,
The Bumbling Bumble Bee .

Our Lady of Paris

She has stood the test of time,
A sight for all who visit.
A mainstay of masonry,
A standing of french missionary,
Now she crumbles to the ground.
Reclaimed by time and land,
Today we stand with the French,
Hurting round the world as one.
She flickers in the red and amber,
lighting up the Paris skyline,
Where she once stood so prominent.
So long, our lady,
We cry.

Springtime has Come

The air is still cold,
As is the granite,
The ground still frosty,
In the morning sun,
But it is clear to see,
From the buds on the trees,
That spring has finally come.
***
The fields are green,
As are the trees,
The sheep have lambed,
Out in the land,
You can clearly hear,
From the noise out there,
That spring has finally sprung.
***
The trees are budding,
As are the tulips,
The flowers are growing,
Out in the garden,
You can clearly smell,
From the pollen out there,
That spring has just begun.

It’s My Birthday

It’s my birthday,
Don’t you know,
Happy Birthday,
Here I go,
Another year,
Older not wiser,
And the wheels,
On my life,
Go round and round.

Search For Meaning

Are the curtains blue,
For my mood is too,
Are the leaves green,
To to show my pain,
How about the carpet,
Is grey my expression,
Meaning hidden in texts,
Are often overstated,
And rarely proven,
To actually exist.
